The Loksand Root Zone System…
The Loksand Rootzone system is a traditional sand and sand based substrate blended with polypropylene fibres. During the mixing process the crimped polypropylene fibres are entwined with the sand increasing the sand’s over-all strength and resistance.
The Loksand Rootzone system is applied above a Type 1 sub base layer then overlaid with turf to the specification of the project. As the turf becomes established the roots interlock with the Loksand Rootzone, further increasing stability and its cohesive strength.
The Loksand Rootzone system is fully compatible with Lindum Lokturf, a pre-grown turf with inbuilt polypropylene fibres providing excellent cohesive strength. The turf is less susceptible to divoting and compaction and will remain stable, please contact us for more information.
